his is a place where long days can be enjoyably spent gardening. Or exploring the many exquisite sites such as near-by Hamoa beach and the natural pool where our rocky stream meets the sea.

In the usual sense, “there’s very little to do here.” No nightclubs, firedancers or twelve-story, neon-lit resorts.

Here you’ll find a small village where time and nature move to a greater rhythm. Papalani is where the road comes to a happy end and you realize that there are still a few magical places left on Earth.

Hana is nearby — a little town on the back side of Maui that is just about as far from anywhere as one could hope to travel… and still return.

When it comes to natural attractions, Hana is blessed above all others. You can visit black, white and red sand beaches and swim in luxurious waterfalls.

The surrounding gardens offer a delightful array of papaya, mango, breadfruit, ginger and plumeria. The organic garden continually produces delicious, exotic salad mix and fresh vegetables.

There is a balance to be discovered — of health, relaxation and working with nature.
